Only complaint is that it was too fn short

Excellent writing. Proof reading and other editing is improving but still needs work.
Another chapter in the men and women of the Scout Teams as they fight both the Z's and what is left of "civilization".
This book has a lot of action and adventure. It has a good bit of humor as well. Also a little romance?
Excellent plot, great action, twists and turns. These keep getting better. Old characters get a little wiser, new characters don't all get red shirts. Good evolution through the series. Great job, John - keep em coming.
A fast read, because I've read a good portion of it on Facebook. This series is great. My only concern is the high casualty rate among recurring secondary characters in this series. It kind of reminds me of Patrick O'Brian's later work in that respect. And I'm kind of upset that this ended in a cliffhanger. When's the next installment?
John F. Holmes continues to provide smash entertainment in his apocalyptic zombie universe. His series is a real treat and I've been hooked since book one! Well drawn characters that help drive actual plots (no kill zombie, run, kill zombie, repeat). Holmes is a mature story teller with realistic violence and true to life characters. There is not tired "formulaic" writing, the story grabs the reader like a walker and doesn't let go. Anxiously awaiting the next installment.
